Derman organised an open day to celebrate World Mental Health Day
on 28th October 2013.
The aim of the day was to increase awareness about mental health issues. The event started with the interactive workshop about suicide prevention and then in the afternoon we continued with relaxation/head massage and art& craft activities. In total 65 people attended this event.
75% of the participants answered that this event enabled them to think about how they might respond to mental health issues differently.
Nursel Tas, CEO, Derman said: “Since 1992 every year the World Federation for
Mental Health has a World Mental Health Day to promote good mental health, to increase
public awareness. It is our pleasure that we are able to be part in celebration of world
mental health day this year.”
